Attention Seniors!

Here is a possible scholarship opportunity for YOU!

The HSHS PTSA is committed to the educational process by helping parents, teachers and students to obtain quality education for all children. 

During the 2010-2011 school year, the HSHS PTSA plans to award up to two scholarships.  To obtain an application and detailed information regarding the scholarships, please see the PTSA website http://www.hshsptsa.com after October 29, 2010.  Applications will also available in the Guidance office beginning in November. 

To be eligible for the HSHS PTSA scholarship, the applicant must meet the scholarship requirements listed below.  All applications will be reviewed on the basis of personal achievement, character, leadership and service. 

·         Be a senior.

·         Be a member of the HSHS PTSA by October 29, 2010.

·         Be admitted to a four-year or two-year college or university, or a technical school for the fall of 2011.

·         Complete a brief description of your experience and how it “paints a picture” of who you are and your future goals.

·         Submit a recommendation letter from a HSHS staff or faculty member.

Complete an application in full (with all attachments) and submit to Ms. Burch in the Guidance office no later than March 25, 2011 at 2:10pm.

The scholarships will be awarded at the Senior Awards Ceremony.
